Pursuant to section 418 a of the Norwegian Maritime Act, EU Regulation 1177/2010 applies to passenger transport in Norway. The regulation gives you as a passenger the following rights (summary)[1]:

Persons with disabilities shall not be discriminated against. This group of passengers is entitled to free assistance according to their individual needs when embarking, disembarking and on board the vessel[2].

Delayed or canceled departure, information
Passengers on board are entitled to information about service interruptions within 30 minutes of scheduled departure, as well as updated information when available.

Delayed or cancelled departure from a port terminal and pre-purchased ticket
In the event of a cancellation or delay of more than 90 minutes according to the timetable, the Regulation entitles passengers to assistance, re-routing, reimbursement of the ticket price, or the right to partial compensation of the ticket price in the event of a delay of more than 60 minutes.[3] [4]

[1] The regulation applies to journeys over 500 meters with passenger vessels that have more than three crew members and are certified for more than 12 passengers.

[2] Applies only where the carrier is notified of the voyage and the specific need for assistance at least 48 hours before departure. Even if the notification is not received within the deadline, the carrier must still provide assistance as far as possible so that the passenger can travel with the vessel.

[3] These rights only apply after the passenger has purchased a ticket and only if a ticket has been purchased with the departure time stated on the ticket. Delayed arrival rights do not apply when the delay is due to weather conditions or other extraordinary circumstances.

[4] The right to assistance in the event of a delay only applies to travel from the port terminal, and does not apply to this vessel.
